A German 50-Bore Flintlock Pistol By F. Rinspacher In München, Circa 1820 With swamped octagonal sighted barrel retaining traces of blueing and with rectangular gilt-lined 'IN MUNCHEN' mark on the top flat at the breech, platinum-lined touch-hole, plain tang, signed border engraved flat lock with roller, foliate engraved cock, figured full stock with dark horn fore-end cap (old splits), chequered rounded butt carved with a flower-head behind the barrel tang, steel mounts comprising ovoidal pommel-cap engraved with a flower-head within a border of foliage, trigger-guard with foliate finial and decorated with a sporting trophy on the border engraved bow, foliate engraved side-nail plates, knurled ramrod-pipes, the rear one with foliate terminal, and horn-tipped wooden ramrod 22.5 cm. barrel Footnotes: Franz Rinspacher is recorded in Munich between 1802 and 1827 For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
