Attribué à Philippe-Joseph Brocard. Paire de lampes de mosquée dans le style mamelouk Paris, ca. 1870 Verre soufflé vert teint dans la masse. Corps globulaire surmonté d'un col conique évasé et reposant sur un piédouche à la lèvre recourbée. Décor couvrant de feuilles et de palmettes dorées sur un fond vert émaillé, complété sur la panse de six anses en boucles, raportées dans des réserves. Signés sous la panse. H. 29.5 cm. Ø 22 cm. (2) Footnotes: A pair of Mamluk style gilt and enamel glass Mosque Lamps attributed to Philippe-Joseph Brocard. Each of green blown-glass, with globular body, flaring conical neck and tall splayed foot with turned rim. Decorated with gilded leaves and palmettes on a green enamelled ground, and completed on the body with six loop handles, applied in reserves. Both signed under the body. Provenance : Collection privée (acquisition : Sotheby's London, Arts of the Islamic World, 24 October 2007, Lot 352).
