A Pair Of 18-Bore Flintlock Brass-Mounted Pistols By J. Harding, Borough, London, Circa 1815-20 With russet barrels each signed in capitals along the breech, foliate engraved tangs (one retaining screw missing), border engraved flat bevelled locks (one loose, its cock and steel-spring missing) each signed in capitals and with safety-catch, figured full stocks (one incomplete in front of the steel and above the lock on one side at the tang) each with rounded butt, mounts comprising shaped flat side-plates each engraved with a starburst, trigger-guards each decorated with foliage on the border engraved bow, turned ramrod-pipes, and original wooden ramrods each with horn tip (one missing), one with steel worm (barrels and locks with rust patination) (2) 23.3 cm. barrels Footnotes: James Harding is recorded as Gunmaker to General Post Office.
