A Cased Liège 54-Bore Pin-Fire Double-Action Six-Shot Revolver No. 848 And 68801, Circa 1860-70 With sighted barrel engraved with foliage around the muzzle and rifled with seven grooves, part octagonal breech engraved with vine leaves, cylinder, action with hinged loading-gate, trigger-guard and ovoidal butt-cap all decorated en suite, the last with bright suspension swivel, bright hammer, trigger and cartridge-extracting rod, finely chequered rounded ebony grips each carved behind the action, and retaining virtually all its old blackened finish: in its lined and fitted oak case (lid escutcheon missing), Liège proof 15.8 cm. barrel Footnotes: Provenance Sold in these Rooms, Antique Arms, Armour & Modern Sporting Guns, 25 July 2012, lot 204 For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
