Two Bridle-Gauntlets Mid-17th Century, The First Probably English The first with rounded elbow-length cuff of two pieces riveted together and each with turned upper edge, the outer one with medial ridge, the hand of six overlapping metacarpal plates and an embossed knuckle-plate, the latter carrying the remains of finger scales (some old damage and pitting overall); the second of similar form (finger scales missing, old rust patination overall) (2) 40 cm. and 44 cm.
