A pair of George II cast silver candlesticks James Gould, London 1739, date letter in a shaped punch With fluted baluster knop stems, on shaped-square bases, the spool shaped sconces with removable drip-pans, engraved crest to base and drip-pans, height 20.5cm, weight 32.5oz. (2) Footnotes: The paternal (dexter) arms remain unidentified. The maternal (sinister) arms are for the OKEOVER family of Okeover Hall, Ashbourne, Staffordshire. In this period the manor was held by Leake OKEOVER (1701-1765) he married Mary NICHOLLS (1701-1764) but no issue appear to have arms that link to the paternal arms.
