An Ottoman Empire silver preserve pot with cover Tughra mark for Sultan Abdülhamid II (r.1876-1909) and standard 900 Urn form, the inset domed cover topped by a cast berry finial and applied leaves, the main body featuring a flaring wavy edged upper rim and curling foliate twin-handles, engraved floral, foliate, bird and diaper work motifs to the whole, atop a knopped pedestal base raised on four scrolling feet, height 15.5cm, weight 14oz.
