Serial number 32129, .30 WCF caliber, blued octagonal tapering steel barrel marked '-MANUFACTURED BY THE-/-WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVE, CONN. U S.A-' and 'NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER,' the takedown lever marked '-PAT. JUNE 6. 1893-,' with blade front sight and folding leaf rear sight; blued frame with breech rear tang marked 'MODEL 1894/-WINCHESTER-/PAT. AUG. 21, 1894'; blued nose cap; case colored lever; figured walnut stock with checkered fore end and pistol grip wrist with hard rubber 'WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO' cap, the underside of the butt with applied silver plate reading 'SINGLETON HINMAN BIRD/JANUARY 1ST 1899'; black hard rubber 'WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO' butt plate. Any city or state regulations regarding owning antique firearms are the responsibility of the purchaser.** Condition: Barrel bluing is excellent with light thinning along the sharp edges; frame bluing is approx. 75% with areas of thinning and a few fine scratches and areas of speckling; case color on hammer is thinning, case color on lever is thinning on the sides, but largely lacking on the inside and underside of the lever; nose cap bluing has areas of wear and loss; stock has scattered light mars/scratches, dings and dents, checkering on left side of grip has area of erosion; bright bore with some frosting and occasional very light pitting but strong rifling throughout.
